· Train your dog well to be obedient on a leash and comfortable and social around strangers.
· The condition of your terrier plays an important role in how your terrier will be judged.
· When you are asked by a judge to walk your terrier, walk him. Set your sights on
where you want to go and walk there, briskly. Do not hold the leash too tightly.
· Keep your attention on the judge. If the judge is busy you and your dog can relax. When the judge is looking in your direction make sure your dog is standing alertly.
· No matter what your terrier does when you are showing him. The change in his body language will affect his appearance.
· Make sure there is adequate space between your terrier and the ones on either side.
· Be a good sport. If you lose, be a good loser. If you win be a good winner. This means congratulating and thanking your competitors.
